PHYSICIAN\
I began my academic journey at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a place known not just for its world-class research but also for its vibrant spirit and Midwestern warmth. I graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology, carrying with me both a strong scientific foundation and an appreciation for the grit and resilience that Wisconsin is known for. My years in Madison gave me the confidence to dream big and pursue medicine with both curiosity and purpose.
From there, I moved to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where I graduated with honors. Those years were formative, as I explored many fields of medicine before discovering the extraordinary science of the eye. The precision, complexity, and impact of ophthalmology drew me in completely. While on campus, I also witnessed the seemingly impossible: Barack Obama launching his presidential campaign just steps away, a reminder that vision paired with determination can truly change the world.
I went on to complete my residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute, a place recognized for its excellence in shaping outstanding ophthalmologists. The training was both rigorous and inspiring, combining advanced surgical skills with deep respect for the patient experience. It was there that I honed not only my craft as a surgeon but also my commitment to bringing world-class eye care to every community I serve.
The human eye is a truly majestic organ—uniquely designed to both receive and give meaning to light, making vision possible. It is also the only organ in the body where a blood vessel or nerve can be directly visualized, offering physicians unparalleled insight into the overall health of an individual. This rare combination of physical and chemical science, function, and accessibility makes the eye not only central to how we experience the world, but also a vital window into the body itself.
SURGEON\
After residency, I pursued advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the University of California, San Diego. This experience deepened both my surgical skills and my understanding of the unique needs of patients across all ages. Today, I perform a wide range of eye surgeries for both children and adults, including laser and refractive procedures, eyelid and oculoplastic surgery, as well as the surgical management of glaucoma, cataracts, external disease and eye misalignment.
My work as an eye surgeon is rooted in microsurgery, where precision and delicacy make all the difference. Advances in technology have revolutionized the field, allowing for a level of accuracy and personalization once thought impossible. I have developed expertise in advanced lens technologies and premium laser cataract surgery, offering patients the opportunity to preserve and even enhance their vision well into the future. Because innovation in eye surgery is constantly evolving, I embrace the role of lifelong learner—staying at the forefront of new techniques and technologies to ensure that my patients benefit from the very best that modern medicine has to offer.

While I am passionate about surgical techniques and technology, I never lose sight of the human side of medicine. Every patient has unique needs, and my goal is always to align surgical care with compassion, developing and restoring not just vision but also confidence and quality of life. I seek out opportunities to share my passion with people all over the world.
Beyond the operating room, I am deeply committed to expanding access to eye care for underserved communities. Through nonprofit work, outreach initiatives, and innovative health models, I strive to ensure that advanced vision care is not limited by circumstance. For me, surgery is both a calling and a responsibility—an opportunity to use my skills to transform lives and bring the gift of sight to as many people as possible.
ENTREPENEUR\
My work as a physician has always been guided by the belief that health should be accessible to all, and that same spirit drives my entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on the skills and knowledge I’ve gained through graduate training, professional development, and years of practice in medicine, I build initiatives that expand access to care and bring innovative health solutions to life.
What sets my work apart—my “special sauce”—is the compassion I carry into every endeavor. People are always at the center of my vision. By deeply integrating into culture, listening to communities, and understanding what truly matters to them, I design health models that people not only need, but also genuinely desire.

Luxury eyewear designer, William Grant, announces the highly-anticipated ‘Respect the Technics’, exquisite, limited-edition spectacles that recreate arguably the most influential instrument of all time: 2 turntables + 1 mixer.
“In creating these frames, the goal was to memorialize the instrument that gave rise to Hip Hop while allowing people to see the world through the music and culture it created.”
A foundational philosophy has shaped ventures such as Unbundled Health, a membership-based model reimagining access to specialty care; the Hollywood Hair Institute, which blends medical expertise with artistry to restore hair and confidence; and the Will Grant Vision Foundation, which delivers free and low-cost eye care to underserved communities. Each of these initiatives reflects the same core values: innovation grounded in compassion, solutions rooted in culture, and a relentless drive to bring the gift of health to more people.
